This month’s updates help Shopify merchants find more organic growth opportunities, understand what is happening in Google, and fix more SEO issues faster — without needing an agency or technical SEO background.
We added the new Demand Engine, an AI-powered workflow designed to help merchants uncover blog ideas, refine briefs, select keywords, and create SEO-focused blog drafts based on real store opportunities.
Even if Google Search Console is not connected yet, SEO HERO can now use your product catalog to suggest content ideas. That means a skincare brand selling vitamin C serum, retinol, and moisturizers can generate product-led blog topics like “How to Layer Vitamin C and Retinol” or “Best Morning Skincare Routine for Dry Skin” — content that can attract shoppers earlier in the buying journey.
User benefit: Create more search-friendly content around the products you already sell, helping attract shoppers before they are ready to buy.
Where to find it: Demand Engine / Grow section
We added a new Google Performance Tracker connected to Google Search Console data, giving merchants a clearer view of search performance trends directly inside SEO HERO.
For example, an apparel store can monitor whether searches for “linen summer dress” are gaining impressions before peak season, or whether an important product page is slipping in clicks after a competitor launches a similar collection.
User benefit: Spot search trends earlier so you know which pages, products, and keywords deserve attention.
Where to find it: Track / Google Performance Tracker
SEO HERO can now apply AI fixes to more SEO checks across your store, including issues such as missing metadata, weak value propositions, social preview metadata, empty collection descriptions, and messy or overlong handles.
For a large electronics retailer with hundreds of product and collection pages, this means less manual cleanup and a faster path from “audit found issues” to “SEO improvements are ready to review.”
User benefit: Fix more SEO gaps in bulk, reduce repetitive editing, and focus your time on reviewing high-impact recommendations.
Where to find it: Optimize / Bulk Fix Dashboard
We added and improved structured data support for product schema, including a Shopify theme app embed, clearer setup guidance, storefront diagnostics, and more reliable JSON-LD output.
A home goods store selling furniture, lighting, or decor can use this to help Google better understand key product details such as product name, image, price, availability, and offer information.
User benefit: Make product information easier for Google to parse and reduce uncertainty when setting up product schema.
Where to find it: Optimize / Structured Data setup and review flow
Merchants can now purchase one-time AI credits instead of waiting for the next billing cycle or changing plans just to complete a larger optimization project.
For example, a beauty brand preparing for a new product launch can buy extra credits to optimize product pages, collections, and supporting blog content before launch day — without interrupting the campaign timeline.
User benefit: More flexibility when you have a big SEO push, seasonal campaign, or large catalog cleanup.
Where to find it: Credits / Billing prompts inside the app
We made multiple improvements to the Optimize dashboard, audit filters, visibility handling for draft and archived products, and SEO health summaries. The result is a cleaner view of what actually needs attention — especially for stores with large product catalogs.
SEO growth is not just about finding problems. It is about knowing which problems matter, fixing them quickly, and creating new content that matches what shoppers are searching for.
These updates move SEO HERO closer to a complete SEO workflow for Shopify merchants: audit your store, prioritize issues, generate AI fixes, track Google performance, and create new content opportunities from your product catalog.
