Why businesses leave

WordPress got you here. Now it's slowing you down.

Most sites we audit carry 20 to 40 plugins. Each one is another update, another login and another way in for hackers.

Endless updates

Weekly core, theme and plugin updates. Any one can break a page.

Security risk

Most WordPress security holes come from plugins.

Slow pages

Plugin bloat drags down load times and rankings.

Hidden costs

Premium plugins, hosting and developer hours add up every year.

WordPress website migration options: EmDash, Astro and Shopify
Your options

Three ways off WordPress. We'll help you pick the right one.

Best for online stores

Shopify

Products, customers and orders move over. Payments, hosting and security are handled for you.

Best for content-heavy sites

EmDash CMS

Cloudflare’s WordPress successor. A familiar editor, sandboxed plugins and fast pages everywhere.

Best for simple service sites

Astro

Plain, fast pages with nothing to update and almost nothing to hack.

Which platform is right for your business?

There’s no single best replacement for WordPress. It depends on what your site does and who edits it. Here’s the short version.

SEO-safe migration

A migration done by an SEO agency, not just a developer.

Most migrations go wrong after launch, when old links break and Google traffic quietly falls. We’ve spent years ranking Ottawa businesses on page one, so protecting your search traffic is built into every step.

How we work

How we move your site, step by step

01

Site audit and recommendation

We crawl your WordPress site, list every page, plugin and integration, and recommend Shopify, EmDash or Astro.

02

Migration plan and quote

You get a fixed price, a timeline and a URL-by-URL redirect map before any work starts.

03

Design and build

We rebuild your design on the new platform, or refresh it while we’re at it.

04

Content and data move

Pages, posts, products, media and customers move across, then we check them against the old site.

05

Testing on a private link

You review everything before launch. We test forms, checkout, tracking and speed.

06

Launch day

We switch your domain, turn on every redirect and submit the new sitemap to Google.

07

30 days of monitoring

We watch Search Console, rankings and traffic daily and fix any broken link fast.

FAQ

WordPress migration questions

Not if the move is done properly. We redirect every old URL, carry over your titles, meta descriptions and schema, and watch Search Console for 30 days after launch. Small ups and downs in the first few weeks are normal while Google recrawls your site.

It depends on the size of your site. A small service site moves much faster than a large store or content site. You’ll get an exact timeline with your quote.

The price depends on how many pages, products and integrations you have, and which platform you move to. Your quote lists the full price before any work starts, so there are no surprises.

Yes. Your domain stays the same. If your email is hosted with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, it isn’t affected at all.

We list every plugin you use and replace each one with a built-in feature, a Shopify app or an EmDash plugin. Many plugins simply aren’t needed on the new platform.

EmDash is new. Cloudflare released it in April 2026. For many content sites it’s a great fit today. If it isn’t right for yours yet, we’ll tell you and recommend Shopify or Astro instead.

Yes. Shopify and EmDash both have easy admin dashboards. For Astro sites we can add a simple editor, or handle changes for you through a Website Care Plan.

Yes. Products, customers and order history all come with you.
